Cecilia Kwak

Cecilia Kwak graduated with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Classical Piano Performance from Ewha University in South Korea. Since then, she has been a piano and theory tutor for over 30 years in Korea and New Zealand. After receiving her L.T.C.L Diploma from the Trinity Guildhall College in London, she became a member of the Institute Registered Music Teachers of New Zealand for 10 years.
Aside from being a piano teacher, she has worked as an accompanist in Christchurch, Hamilton and Auckland, accompanying instrumentalists, choirs and singers for various events including concerts, exams, competitions, and university auditions. She has been working as a choir accompanist since 2005.
Cecilia is an exceptional music teacher and has experience first hand on how to teach music through nurturing her own children. Her students have had various successes receiving outstanding marks in exams and being chosen for the ABRSM High Achievers’ Concerts, as well as winning local competitions.
